Domestic Assistant

Working in conjunction with other members of the domestic team and patients in a busy residential hospital with an extended care facility (a self-contained housing unit for secondary care residents) and lodge cottages for visitors within the grounds of Castle Craig.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual capable of undertaking a variety of tasks as assigned by the Head of Housekeeping and Client Service Manager/Project Manager. This may include but not be limited to domestic duties such as vacuuming and laundry.

In general the working week is 40 hours, working 08.00 – 16.00. Annual holiday entitlement is 20 statutory days with 9 public holidays, totalling 29 days annually. Participation in a weekend rota is required.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends

Salary: Competitive salary dependent on experience

Closing Date: Friday 15th December

Other notes: Castle Craig is a private residential addiction facility, with a focus on excellence. Set amongst the beautiful hills of the Scottish Borders, Castle Craig is approximately 10 miles from Peebles and 20 minutes from the Edinburgh bypass. Free parking and lunches are available to all staff.
